BONTÉ30 began with a story long before the brand itself.
My mother has worked as a jewellery designer for nearly 30 years, so jewellery has always been part of my life. When I was sixteen, she gave me my first diamond necklace. It was simple, but it meant everything to me. I have worn that necklace almost every day since then (definitely not because I was too lazy to take them off) but I wear them to school, to sleep, and even when I moved overseas. It has travelled with me through many chapters of my life.
That necklace showed me that jewellery can hold more than beauty. It can hold memories.
It was working in a jewellery store that made everything click. I'd watch people come in sometimes uncertain, sometimes emotional searching for a piece that could hold the weight of something important. A milestone. A relationship. A person they loved.

At the same time, I often struggled to find jewellery that matched my aesthetic pieces that felt delicate, timeless, and meaningful — without being excessively expensive. My mother encouraged me to start designing my own jewellery, and that was how BONTÉ30 began. That first necklace from my mother still sits at my collarbone most days. Every piece I design for Bonté30 is made with that same intention something small enough to wear every day, meaningful enough to keep forever.
