BONTÉ30 began with a story long before the brand itself.
My mother has worked as a jewellery designer for nearly 30 years, so jewellery has always been part of my life. When I was sixteen, she gave me my first diamond necklace. It was simple, but it meant everything to me. I have worn that necklace almost every day since then (definitely not because I was too lazy to take them off) but I wear them to school, to sleep, and even when I moved overseas. It has travelled with me through many chapters of my life.
That necklace showed me that jewellery can hold more than beauty. It can hold memories.
Later, while working in a jewellery store, I saw how meaningful jewellery can be in people’s lives. Fathers buying a necklace to celebrate their daughter’s graduation. Grandparents choosing a baby bangle for a newborn grandchild. People searching for something meaningful for the one they love.
Jewellery often marks the moments that matter most.
At the same time, I often struggled to find jewellery that matched my aesthetic pieces that felt delicate, timeless, and meaningful — without being excessively expensive. My mother encouraged me to start designing my own jewellery, and that was how BONTÉ30 began.
